Chad Davis

Candidate, Oneida County Legislature District 14

Chad Davis is the current legislator for District 14 and has been endorsed by the Town of New Hartford Democratic Committee. His board seat in New Hartford includes New Hartford’s 4-1, 4-2, 4-3 and 3-2 districts. The seat also covers district 3-2 in Utica and districts 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9 in Kirkland. He has served on the board since 2008. He has said it has been a great honor and he is truly grateful for the trust that the voters have placed in him over the years.

He grew up in Clinton, is a graduate of Hamilton College, and the co-owner of Advantage Abstract Company, (an abstract and title insurance company). He is currently serving on five committees; Public Works, Airport, Ways & Means, Governmental Operations and the Worker’s Compensation Committees. He is proud of the fact that for twelve-years in a row, the board has passed a budget without an increase to the real property tax levy – all while keeping governmental services strong and efficient. He has been a strong supporter of our county’s economic development initiatives, which have truly been transformative. This resurgence and success – which has included the new Nexus Center sports facility – has triggered, among other things, a substantial increase in restaurant and hotel business around the area. In Chad's own words, "I am proud of the policy, governance and oversight of the county board; and, I believe that we are just getting started."
