From efforts to roll back voting rights to attacks on reproductive freedom, from spreading dangerous disinformation to embracing authoritarian rhetoric, the stakes have never been higher. If we have learned anything from the past few years, it is that democracy does not automatically sustain itself—it requires action, vigilance, and commitment.</h2>While the national stage often commands our attention, the most effective way to counter these threats is through local action.
